A Committee of the Hartford Area Child Care Collaborative

The Employer Support for Family Initiatives, a committee of human resource managers, consultants and child care providers, provides networking opportunities and serves as a catalyst to increase employer support for family issues in the workplace. The committee:

• encourages employers to examine and offer a variety of options for dependent care, i.e., emergency care, school-age programs, referral services, flexible work options, job sharing and dependent care days.
• provides training programs for managers/supervisors to help them understand family and work issues.
• helps employers to understand that affordable, quality child care is essential to insure a stable, productive workforce, now and in the future.

The Collaborative brings business and government to the table. Who would do it if not the Collaborative?”
